Heather McDaniel

We sat down with Women to Women Network member Heather McDaniel of Invincible Women Fitness Academy, and here's what she had to say…

Who are your clients/customers?

I work with women between the ages of 35 and 55 who are looking for a different approach to health and wellness. They're tired of the fad diets, misinformation, and failure due to a lack of support and structure.

How do you help your clients/customers?

I have a process and solutions to share! I look at my client's goals first. Some want to focus on gaining strength, while others emphasize the weight loss aspect. I look at behaviors and habits. For example, are they distracted by their phones or in a rush while eating? We pay close attention to the whole woman because invisible things like hormones can play a significant role, too. On the fitness side, I program workouts that correspond with specific objectives. We can target stability, increased metabolism, and more.

What brought you to this line of work?

It started with my background as an athlete. I've been an athlete my entire life.

I also know what it's like to be an entrepreneur. It's a busy path filled with a million fires to put out. In the past, this led me to lose my focus. I reached a point where I didn't feel like myself. I went through the process of losing 35 pounds and realized that I'd like to help others do so in a sustainable way, too. So many women have a toxic relationship with food, so it's my mission to help people enjoy and connect with food in a nourishing way.

What brings you joy?

When clients start to recognize that they can do it themselves. Seeing them gain confidence from a big win is great. It's beautiful to hear a woman say, "I know what it feels like when I'm satiated instead of overeating. I didn't feed into an emotional trigger." I love success stories from clients. It's the most rewarding part of my work.

What defines you and your business?

I have a different approach. I'm not a punishment and reward person. I let people make mistakes, and we work together to correct the course without starting over. I take a fun and authentic approach to working with women one-on-one. I treat my clients like family, and I love having those connections.

What's the most important thing you want people to know about you and your business?

If you're looking for a way to stop the endless up and down cycle, there is a path to make it happen. I can help with that.
