Member Event

You’re invited by Women to Women Network Member Rukshana Triem

We are excited on November 16th. 2024 to present the 4th Annual International African Fashion Show & Art Auction to benefit the Firmina Foundation. This year the Mittleman Jewish Community Center will be the host for this event.

The focus this year on building community and bridging the gap between our African & African-American community to celebrate the complex layers of our rich, diverse, and beautiful culture.

This immersive annual event is the biggest fundraiser for its benefactor, the Firmina Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded by local businesswoman and community advocate, Rukshana Triem. Funds raised this year will go to complete the repairs and updates needed for The Têngua School in Mozambique after the damage created by the big storms of 2023. The storm had torn the roof off of the building and damaged the paint.

The 4th African Fashion Show PDX will bring together local African & African-American designers showcased by a diverse and inclusive cast of local models. To add to the experience there will African inspired small bites, local wine, an artisan market and talented artists performing music and dance. Please join us for this unique event.

**NOTE: DUE TO SECURITY POLICIES YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE A VALID FORM OF PHOTO ID TO ENTER THE VENUE
