Rachelle Scheele
Founder
SCARS of Oregon (Survivor Collective Alliance Reaching Society)
Rachelle Scheele has been an entrepreneur and a domestic violence (DV) Survivor for more than half her life. She founded a Survivor-run organization, Survivor Collective Alliance Reaching Society (SCARS of Oregon), in 2015 and volunteers her time with other DV Survivors for mutual peer support, outreach, and restorative justice.
She recently spun off a for-profit business, Allied Brands Collective, where socially conscious folks can shop and support Survivors. This cultivated community is a place to shop Survivor-owned and Survivor-allied businesses, champion Survivors, and build a strong network of Survivors who collaborate for personal and professional support.
Rachelle is a native Oregonian living in Washington County. A mom of 5 and single at one point, she is now remarried and happily watching her kids grow and thrive into adulthood. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Public Affairs (2020) from Portland State University, where she actively expanded her learning and experience with community organizing and activism to collaborate with other organizations and grow SCARS.
