Faces of Hope serves men, women, and children experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, stalking, or human trafficking. Their dedicated team wraps around an individual or family and provides crisis intervention services to stabilize them, at no cost.

They Provide:

• Safety planning, protection orders, and legal aid

• Crisis counseling and support groups

• Classes and case management

• Emergency assistance with food, gas, shelter, clothing, diapers, transportation to flee, lock changes, pepper spray, cell phones, and other basic necessities

• Referrals to community resources, including financial literacy classes, employment assistance, job training, food stamps, food banks, crime victims’ compensation, and other public assistance programs.

The key to change is awareness. That's where I come in! I provide a deep dive with a real person to work with individuals and couples through their trauma, over the hurdles, and carving a path to a life that feels authentic and empowering!

Meanwhile, I am a wife and mother to 3 boys under 5, two identities that bring me joy while simultaneously driving me towards a margarita! I have a Bachelor of Arts in History from San Diego State University and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. Before starting my own private practice, I worked for a Non-Profit specializing in helping underserved children, teens, and families navigate poverty, trauma, and the justice system to build more emotionally stable and connected families.

When I am not working I am spending time with my family. We take great joy getting outside and up in the mountains camping, hiking and exploring. When it's too cold to do that, I love to cook (no such thing as too much butter or garlic), baking and drinking/eating with friends!

The Alzheimer's Association Greater Idaho Chapter serves a wide area. We help all those facing Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias by providing support groups and educational resources while advancing crucial research and public policy initiatives. 

The Alzheimer’s Association provides services to the greater Idaho community. Our support groups are led by trained facilitators and are offered regularly. Our education programs for the general public, both online and in person, feature information on topics such as diagnosis, warning signs, communication, living with Alzheimer’s disease and caregiving techniques.

Alix Hilton, Executive Director of Alzheimer’s Association of the Greater Idaho Chapter

Alix has a passion for building community through working in the nonprofit space. She has a decade of experience working for various causes in the Treasure Valley and has been with The Alzheimer’s Association since 2019. Before stepping into the Executive Director role in 2022, she served as the organization’s lead in their biggest annual fundraising event, The Walk to End Alzheimer’s. In her tenure with the organization, she has established relationships with communities and companies across Idaho, providing resources for education, support, and opportunities for them to support a cause that affects everyone in their life.

I pride myself as an experienced Banker who enjoys taking care of the clients. I judge my success on the success of my clients and the team. The Mission of The Mentoring Network, Inc. is to provide school-based, direct-to-youth mentoring that will improve life outcomes for vulnerable and disengaged children by developing resilience skills, supporting the development of personal strengths, and increasing self-sufficiency.

About our hostess…

Holly Lyons 
Vice President and Branch Manager
Umpqua Bank

Holly Lyons is the Vice President and Branch Manager of the Canyon County Caldwell Branch location for Umpqua Bank.  Holly began her banking career as a part-time teller during her freshman year at New Mexico State University. After finishing her MBA, she continued her journey in this same industry.  With 27 years in finance and banking, her passion is the people that she serves and growing relationships in the community.  She takes great pride in her team and lives by the principles of Servant Leadership.  Her role at Umpqua Bank allows her to utilize her expertise to develop relationships to assist small businesses in achieving their dreams.  Holly is also on the Board of Directors for Destination Caldwell, the Board of Directors for Caldwell Business Improvement District, and the Board of Directors for Advocates Against Family Violence. 

Holly and her husband enjoy the outdoors, traveling, hunting, and fishing.  Their family is the greatest priority, with four grown kids and one grandchild this year. 

Judy Hudson
Author

Judy Hudson grew up in Boise, Idaho, with four older sisters and a younger brother.  For a time, her parents had a ‘commuter marriage’ before there was a term for such an arrangement.  Her first career was with the U. S. Forest Service, beginning in the Kootenai National Forest in 1967.  After several moves and promotions, she relocated to Juneau, Alaska, where she served in various personnel specialist positions.  Judy thrived in the Alaskan environment, maneuvering her boat to find the best fishing hole, hiking the many trails, and traveling as much as possible.  She was a single mom in a male-dominated organization, often the first woman to break through the glass ceiling to managerial levels.  Her last position was Director of Human Resources for the Southwest Region.  One of the best parts of the job was to mentor other women in the workplace.  

With an early retirement, she was able to pursue a long-held dream of becoming a counselor.  She returned to Idaho, obtained a Masters of Social Work degree at BSU, and opened a practice in Caldwell.  Judy considered it a privilege to counsel people from all walks of life as they untangled the truth from lies and distortions.

When it was time to retire the second time, Judy wanted to honor the courage of the many women she had met who were ‘overcomers’ by writing a book of fictional characters and events that would give others hope.  That one book became three—the Tethered Series—and she just finished a historical fiction set in the Owyhee Mountains (the working title is Mule Springs Saga).

Judy lives on a small farm in Caldwell, Idaho, where she and her husband treasure the changing seasons and wildlife that thrive in their rural setting. She spends time with her family, gardening, line dancing, and learning more about what a great God we serve.
