About our hostess…
Samantha Hayes
Talent Partner, Co-Founder & Captain
Empowered Access, LLC & Black Widows, Inc.
I am a dedicated talent-seeking entrepreneur by trade, a lifelong empowerment advocate by choice, a serial teammate to many, and a natural, trusted leader to all. I’ve built many of my life's fundamentals upon the aspiration to impact women’s lives through the lens of sports and the many life lessons learned by winning, learning, and failing. I was raised by coaches, married to one, and have grown to be the passionate player/coach in a sport I had always dreamed would become a home to girls and women alike.
Eight years ago, my husband and I started a women’s flag football team based on a simple premise: inspire empowered women to empower more women. The Black Widows, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit recreational team that participates in the local Treasure Valley Women’s Flag Football League(TVWFFL) and also travels to various nationally ranked tournaments around the country.
Over the years, we’ve built a successful three-time TVWFFL championship-level program that suits women, ages 17 - 55, from all athletic backgrounds. My vision for this team is to hold a safe space for women to tap into that little girl inside of them who wanted to play but was told there was no place for her, develop life-long bonds both on and off the field with their teammates, give back to our community and find every opportunity there is to pass the legacy that is women’s flag football onto the next generation.“
