Jennifer grew up in the Hillsboro area and continues to be part of the community by helping small businesses grow. She is able to save her members money every month by offering a professional space where business owners can work, meet with clients, and even enjoy the complimentary kitchen without any hassle.
Rachelle Scheele
Founder
SCARS of Oregon (Survivor Collective Alliance Reaching Society)
Rachelle Scheele has been an entrepreneur and a domestic violence (DV) Survivor for more than half her life. She founded a Survivor-run organization, Survivor Collective Alliance Reaching Society (SCARS of Oregon), in 2015 and volunteers her time with other DV Survivors for mutual peer support, outreach, and restorative justice.
She recently spun off a for-profit business Allied Brands Collective, where folks who are socially conscious can shop and support Survivor Entrepreneurs. This cultivated community is a place to shop Survivor-owned and Survivor-allied businesses, champion Survivor Entrepreneurs, and build a strong network of Survivor Entrepreneurs who collaborate for personal and professional support.
Rachelle is a native Oregonian living in Washington County. A mom of 5 and single at one point, she is now remarried and happily watching her kids grow and thrive into adulthood. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Public Affairs (2020) from Portland State University, where she actively expanded her learning and experience with community organizing and activism to collaborate with other organizations and grow SCARS.
