Teresa Boyanovsky

We sat down with Women to Women Network member Teresa Boyanovsky, of Chicago Title of Oregon, and here's what she had to say…

Who are your clients/customers?

My primary job as a Chicago Title Sales Executive is to help real estate industry professionals meet their goals. I work with brokers, lenders, builders, investors, and attorneys… really anyone involved in a real estate transaction.

How do you help your clients/customers?

If my client is new in their industry, I help them to get set up.  If they’re seasoned, I connect them with ways to grow their business and make their lives easier. One part of that is defining or deciding what CRM (customer management tool) they're going to use. I help my clients work within their sphere of influence and make sure they're marketing themselves appropriately to get the most bang for their buck as they're investing in themselves.

These days, online marketing and referral business are EVERYTHING. People do a quick Google search to find what they need…and if your business is not strong in search results, you will be passed over for the next person who is. One of my main goals is to help my clients stand out and look amazing in a crowded market.

What brought you to this line of work?

It was a total fluke. I was retired for a period of time and decided to reinvent myself by going back to school to get my BSN as a nurse practitioner. I was waiting to get accepted into the program when a friend called and offered me an opportunity I hadn’t considered. After some coaxing, I learned that in this career path, I would get to meet people, help them in their business and connect them with other successful professionals. I’m a social person and a natural connector, so it was the perfect fit!

Two weeks after being hired by Chicago Title, COVID-19 threw everyone’s lives into a tailspin. My nursing program closed with no online options...but here I was, with a secure job I absolutely love. It fell into my lap at the perfect time.

I have a background in Real Estate, starting in the 90’s working for Trammell Crow (the nation’s largest global property management company). In the early 2000’s, I shifted to the mortgage industry ~ and in 2005 landed at Merrill Lynch (eventually bought out by B of A, then IBM). There I ended up in charge of the group that developed the Treasury’s Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) and did it for six years.

I’ve been blessed to be able to transition from industry to industry during their booms, and land in a career that draws from the knowledge I’ve gained through all of those experiences.

What brings you the most joy in your business?

Connecting people is one of my biggest joys, because I love seeing people win at their businesses and personal lives. Helping someone design a plan to achieve their goals makes me feel so good.

What defines you and your business?

It might sound a little bit cliche, but my motto is to “think outside the box” to help people in the real estate and lending world take their business to the next level. Success requires hard work, but sometimes it truly helps to have a neutral 3rd party show you things from a different perspective. I love being that person!

What's the most important thing you want people to know about you and your business?

Chicago Title is amazing. They have over 170 years of underwriting experience, and are a Fortune 500 company with the financial strength needed to insure and protect one of the largest investments a person will make in their lives: their home.

We are constantly investing in the latest technology and educating ourselves to be a powerhouse of support in the marketplace. There are other title company options out there…but our financial strength, experience and level of service make all the difference. Each of my Escrow Officers has worked in the industry for over twenty years ~ so when I say my team is the best of the best, I really mean it.

Clients who work with me benefit from my marketing expertise, along with access to the best people and technology in the business. Want to find your niche, dial in your sphere of influence or see if a property is buildable? Want to know how to grow your Instagram audience, or get access to a list of people most likely to sell their homes? I can connect my clients with these tools and so much more.
