OH, HOW FAR WE’VE COME!

Celebrating FIVE years with Women to Women Network has given me time to reflect on my journey in business and what a journey it has been. Four years ago, I passed my licensing exam with flying colors (a very proud 96%!). What I didn’t recognize then is how little that mattered. I have spent the last four years trying to carve out a place for myself in tough markets in a tough business. I have gone through the high and low highs but continually come back to why this felt like the right fit. Having the freedom and flexibility to be a mom to my daughter while she is still in high school. I am grateful for every minute I get to do this work - the work of parenting. I am also grateful to get to do this alongside all of you. While we are all in different places in our lives and businesses, it brings me so much joy to learn from you and, on occasion, share an experience of mine that may be helpful to you.

I hope each of you takes time to celebrate your milestones. Whether it’s five years or five months. I hope you appreciate all of your hard work! I don’t know who said it, but I love the saying, “You didn’t come this far only to come this far.” But I also think you need to stop, take a deep breath, maybe grab a drink of water, and look at where you started. You may have a long way to go but look at how far you’ve come!
